Greig DeBow and Edd Pineda Help Restart Kansas Cycling After Recent Tragedy

The last time the Bulls set out to compete in a major cycling event, it was Jim Myers and Todd Johnson heading down to compete in the Kansas State Time Trial Championships. Unfortunately, the race was cancelled after the tragic death of beloved Washburn professor and avid cyclist, Glenda Taylor. She was struck by a pickup truck in her pre-race warm up at the event. The Bulls send their thoughts and prayers to the family of Taylor and her colleagues at Washburn.

Undoubtedly, Taylor would have wanted racing to go on and so it did at the recent Kansas Road Race Championship in Topeka. Greig Debow placed 3rd overall in Masters 35+ and 1st in his age group at the event. Edd Pineda had a great performance as well, winning the Cat 5 race.
