Sunday became Bulls Family Day for the Jeremy Katzenberger Memorial Triathlon at Weatherby Lake. Excluding the obvious Schloegel dynasty, not since the days of the Zink boys and Fleishman Jr. have so many Bulls family members dominated a race. Chris Fugate took 2nd Place Overall in the Long Course Mens event. Meanwhile, on the Womens Short Course, his 15 year old daughter, Ava Fugate took 1st Place Overall. Chris’s sister Lynsey Fugate also took 1st Place Overall in the Womens Long Course event. Meanwhile, COZ, after debating whether to DNS due to consumption of Seafood Pad Thai (Thai Hot) the night before, took 1st Place in the Mens 50-59 Age Group Short Course and his future son-in-law, Bennett Win took 6th Place overall in the Mens Short Course and 2nd Place in the Mens 20-29 Age Group Short Course. Great day by the Bulls clan on an agressively hilly course (both bike and run). The triathlon is held in honor of fallen soldier and Army Ranger, Jeremy Katzenberger, who grew up on the lake and is a true American Hero! Jeremy was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011 at the age of 26.
