Bulls Compete in Inaugural Legends Free State Triathlon

In the first year since the WTC abandoned the states of Kansas and Missouri entirely, a small group of Bulls gave it a go at the inaugural Legends Free State Triathlon.  Bob Schloegel took 3rd place overall and first in his age group with a time of 2:18:50. Jimmy Montalto had a nice race at the Legends 70 distance finishing 4th in his age group with a time of 5:22:03.  Mark Montalto was close behind with a 5:25:14 good enough for 7th in his division.  No Bulls opted to participate in the Not Quite an Ironman - Legends 100 event.  There was some disappointment that this race was a couple of weeks too early for the changes in Kansas gun laws as that would have made for a much more interesting event, particularly given the fact that there is still a lot of the bulls-eye kit floating around.
