Mike Somers and Derek Sandstrom Ride Completely Unbound at the DK

Not one to pass up a world class event in our own back yard, Mike Somers had another strong day on the bike at the Dirty Kanza in its first year under its new name Garmin Unbound Gravel. He finished well into the top half of all males while also placing 18th of 72 in the M60+ division for the 100. Quite a salty performance on a sunny 87 degree day which no doubt involved the hydro-challenged athlete consuming a dozen or so camelbacks. Derek Sandstrom did the 200 finishing 45th in the 45-49 age group. Nice job out there, Derek and Mike!
