Edd Pineda Closes Out 2017 Road Racing Season

On August 5th, Scott Bolen and Edd Pineda ventured to Centralia, MO for the MO State TT Championships which is a 40K event. Scott finished 3rd in his age group with a 1:03:14.410 time. Edd finished 4th in his age group with a 1:02:42.410 time. Edd won the friendly bet by beating Scott by 28 seconds.

On August 13th, Edd attended the Kansas State Category/Age Road Race in Salina KS. Edd rode in Masters 40-59. Team 360 dictated the cat and mouse pace throughout the 72 mile race, but had no desire to chase down a 3 man break at the start of the second lap making it a race for 4th place for the rest of the racers. While Edd waited until the second half of the second lap to move to the front, he didn't drive the uphill sprint finish to his advantage (doh). Edd finished 12th overall in Masters 40 - 59 and 4th in his age group.

On August 27th, Edd ventured to Hutchinson KS for the Kansas State TT Championship. While Hutch was on the edge of the storm, the wind pushed the storm over the event causing a 45 minute rain delay and "scared" away several people from the event. Edd's goal for this event was to finish this 40K TT in 60 minutes or less. Racing in Masters 35-49, Edd finished the 40K in 59:00.31 beating his goal by a minute and taking 3rd overall for Masters 35-49 and 3rd in his age group.
