Doug Campbell Ends 2015 Cyclocross Season with Missouri State Victory

Doug Campbell finished the 2015 Cylocross Season strong with a few end of season masters victories culminating in a first place showing in the Missouri state championships in the 55+ division.  Doug was disappointed to know that living in the wrong state deprived him of the state championship.  Doug said, "Although since I live in Kansas I am not technically the Missouri state champion.  I suspect they just don't like Jayhawks beating them!"  He is correct on that point.  Doug also finished 2nd in the 55-59 Kansas state championships as well as 2nd in the sunflower state games 50+ race.

In the KBCXR (Kansas Best Cyclocross Rider) series of 9 points races Doug finished third in 50+ masters.  He won the 50+ division of the Series60cx (6 smaller races) points competition.

Finally, Doug finished 29th (out of about 90 riders) in the 55-59 division of the National Cyclocross Championships in Asheville, NC on Wednesday Jan 6.  "It was by far the most challenging course I've ever seen.  I made a few mistakes that probably cost me some spots--but it was a great experience to be there!" said the King of the Mountains and now King of the Dirt.  Nice work Doug!
