Bulls Survive Frigid Temperatures at KC Tri - Wins by Schloegel and Donnelly

The thermometer read a balmy 37 degrees Fahrenheit - a cold start to the local triathlon season. The winds were calm so everyone hoped that the bike would at least be tolerable. The water felt like a jacuzzi compared to the cold outdoor air. Bob "Short Course" Schloegel, sported a new bike and took it to a strong finish with a time of 2:15:35 and first place in his age group. Pat Donnelly, took first place in his age group as well with a time of 2:49:16. The Montalto brothers fared well in the 35-39 age group with Jimmy taking 5th place with a time of 2:17:21. Close behind was Mark with a 2:22:03 for 11th in his age group. Chris Bowser took 7th place in the sprint for the 40-44 age group with a time of 1:13:46. Mike Somers took 9th in his division with a time of 1:29:56. Coz participated.
