Bulls Ride to Support Campbell's Podium Effort at Boulevard Cup
The Godfather, Rick Pysher, brought the Raging Bulls on a Sunday Morning ride in November to cheer on Doug Campbell at Stump Park in Shawnee for the Boulevard Cup. Doug ended up 2nd in the masters 50+ division--losing only to the 2015 national champion who made a rare local appearance. Doug said, "It was great to have the bull's support on a very tough course! So far this season I've been on the podium for most of the local races--including five second places--but still looking for a win."
According to Doug, another highlight was Jingle Cross in Iowa City in September. It was moved from November to September in order to host one of two World Cup races in the US this year. Amateurs watched the world's top pros race on Saturday, then got a chance to race on the same course on Sunday. Doug said, "The course featured a 60 meter, 40% grade run-up and a sphincter-tightening off-camber descent nicknamed 'the luge run'!" Doug finished 9th in his age group.
