A Little Bulls Racing in Racine!
The stage was set at the Shawnee Mission Triathlon for an epic battle between the Cohen family triathlon team of Sandy Cohen, Taylor "The Tiger" Cohen, and Jamie Cohen v. the Zink family team of Tony Zink, Henry Zink and Jack Zink. Unfortunately, mother nature forced us all to wait another year. A week after rain cursed yet another Shawnee Mission Triathlon, however, the rest of the Bulls were back at it. Congrats to Jason Fitzhugh for his stellar time of 4:33:12, good enough for 2nd place age group at Ironman 70.3 Racine.
Mike Malfer and Lake Loch Malfer frequenter, John Denne had several unfortunates happen to them on the bike. According to Malfer, they endured "a total of 3 flat tires, one being a tubular, a lost Garmin, aero bars falling down, and the fun of trying to pass slow bikers on roads that have not been paved in 10 years. However, even though we had these unfortunates, John and I have never laughed so much in one weekend. I have put together the top funny things that happened to John, Jason and me…. All have stories behind each one…
7: I need bananas! Right now. We need to stop off to get my bananas.
6: You’re doing a great job… Now can I pass you on the bike? NO!
5: I need to eat right now. Right now! Where we eating Malfer.. I need to eat right now!
4: Ok…. WE have a problem.
3: Hey Jason, I met you in the hot tub.
2: Wow, you got some nice legs. Its not like I am hitting on you. I am happily married.
1: Ok. Let me tell you a little about me."
